    Shades Oceanfront Bistro 5083 Santa Monica Ave., San Diego, CA 92107 (619) 222-0501 Shades was built around the concept of offering really good food at reasonable prices for locals! We're working people with kids, and we just wanted a place where we could get a good meal after a long day without the fuss of making a reservation or having to get all dressed up. We wanted a restaurant where you didn't have to stress about bringing the kids, but you could still get a cocktail and a steak if you were so inclined. Shades is what we came up with, and it seems as if it's something that others were looking for too. Fully 70% of our customers are 'regulars'. We know them, and they know us. This is a family owned and operated business, and we're deeply involved in this wonderful community. There isn't anyplace else on earth we'd want to go to work everyday. Find all of Shades Ocean...
